Council Member Angela Miner

Angela was born in Australia and was raised in Athens, Greece. She worked in the jewelry business importing and exporting gold and silver, and also worked in the European division of U.S. military and diplomatic sales for SAAB, BMW, and Volvo. The wife of an Air Force veteran, Angela and her family lived in many countries before moving to San Antonio and eventually to Plano when they retired from active duty in 1996.  

Since moving to Plano Angela has served in leadership roles, including Treasurer, Vice President and President on numerous PTA boards and the Plano ISD Council of PTAs as President, Treasurer and mentor to PTAs. For her tireless devotion to the children of Plano she was presented with both the Texas PTA Lifetime Achievement and National PTA Life Achievement Awards.

Determined to stay involved in her community after her children graduated from Plano ISD schools, Angela started volunteering with the PTA and opened up doors to leadership opportunities. She currently is the President of the Timber Brook Estates Homeowners Association. Angela continues volunteering and has chaired many committees. She serves as a Board member of the Plano ISD Education Foundation, and is an active member of the Plano Symphony Orchestra Education committee, the Womens’ Auxiliary of Childrens’ Medical Center – Plano, and Women Making A Difference In Plano. Angela is also an active member of the North Texas Pioneers Rotary club, serves on the scholarship committee and also oversees book donations to Plano ISD elementary school libraries

Angela and her husband, Pat, have two daughters and a granddaughter.
