Aqua-fit Family Wellness Center's owner Mimi Conner was an environmental advocate long before opening her business in 2008. Green initiatives include using a solar cover for the indoor salt-water pool. This greatly reduces evaporation—generating a 40% energy savings in heating the pool. Additionally, Aqua~Fit promotes energy efficiency through use of a dual-filter pool heater and multi-speed pump and a programmable thermostat. B and B Furniture Consignment
B and B Furniture Consignment provides an ever-changing gallery of previously-owned furniture and accessories for buyers of fashionable collections or one-of-a-kind art and decor. Proprietor David Reichman’s green initiatives include T8 lighting, CFLs in all display lamps and sustainable purchasingre-manufactured ink cartridges, recycled content office supplies and biodegradble cleaning products. B and B Furniture Consignment’s marketing is done electronically through e-newsletters and Facebook as well as by in-person networking. B and B hosts periodic instructional seminars to teach patrons how to refurbish furniture treasures for its continued use and enjoyment (without adding to the land-fill). Watch the video.

Unique green initiatives include Jim’s hand-crafted wine racks, re-purposed furniture, use of low VOC non-toxic paint and the installation of energy-efficient lighting. Owners Jim and Lynda McDevitt are knowledgeable and passionate about wine and aim to demystify wine through fun tasting classes, personalized travel tours to the world’s most renowned wine destinations and one-on-one in-store assistance. DRIVE Auto Appearance Center
DRIVE Auto Appearance Center provides premium auto-detailing and reconditioning products and services for car enthusiasts, professional detailers and car show champions. DRIVE’s products are certified organic, bio-degradable and allergen free. DRIVE uses less than 8 ounces of water to clean an average-sized car—and its Polymer-based cleaner produces an outstanding shine. Green initiatives include outfitting their office with reclaimed and re-purposed furniture; and using energy-efficient, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting throughout the retail shop.  Protint Claudio Tamburri, Pro Tint Professional Glass Tinting owner has provided superior auto window tinting for over 25 years. GBC was earned through initiatives including outfitting his facility with all LED lighting, using refurbished office furnishings and implementing a green purchasing policy. A green culture is set by providing environmental education to his staff, requiring team members to use reusable mugs, reuse cardboard and recycle. He encourages his vendors and suppliers to minimize waste in their operations as well.
 ReStoreLogoSCC Habitat for Humanity Restore is known for its cadre of volunteers who build simple, affordable homes for deserving low-income families. Habitat's ReStore—the nonprofit home improvement and décor store—supports its mission to revitalize neighborhoods through home ownership by offering an ever-changing inventory including appliances, flooring and furniture to supplies for DIYers.Staff refurbish and repair donated goods, purchase recycled-content office supplies, replace light bulbs in fixtures for sale with energy-efficient options and even collect coffee grounds for composting.
