Heritage Preservation Grant Program
The City of Plano offers a heritage preservation grant to local nonprofit organizations that support heritage preservation and heritage tourism in Plano. This grant program, and the amount of funds awarded is available as funds permit. Grant funds may be used for projects consisting of historical programming, historic preservation advocacy, and some historic restoration projects. Funds to support this grant are generated from Plano's hotel/motel tax revenue; therefore, the projects and programs funded by the grant program must demonstrate how they will promote tourism in Plano and support Plano's hospitality industry.
2017-2018 Grant Recipients
Since 2004, over $9.5 million has been allocated to organizations promoting heritage programming and tourism in the City of Plano. For the 2017-2018 year, a total of $755,045 was awarded to the following recipients:

|Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation||$265,045||Operations and maintenance, cemetery restorations, education, brochures, tours, signs, events, oral history digitization, museum exhibits|
2018-2019 Grant Application
Applications for the 2018-2019 grant year will be available in ZoomGrants beginning April 2, 2018. The deadline for applications is May 4, 2018.
Applications are required to be submitted online via www.zoomgrants.com or by using the "Apply via ZoomGrants" direct link below. Hard copies of the grant application will not be accepted.
Grant Application Workshop
A grant workshop for potential applicants will take place on Monday, April 11, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Building Inspections Training Room (1st Floor) of the Plano Municipal Center, located at 1520 K Avenue. A copy of the Grant Application Workshop can be downloaded below.
