Heritage Preservation Grant Program
The City of Plano offers a heritage preservation grant to local nonprofit organizations that support heritage preservation and heritage tourism in Plano. This grant program, and the amount of funds awarded is available as funds permit. Grant funds may be used for projects consisting of historical programming, historic preservation advocacy, and some historic restoration projects. Funds to support this grant are generated from Plano's hotel/motel tax revenue; therefore, the projects and programs funded by the grant program must demonstrate how they will promote tourism in Plano and support Plano's hospitality industry.
2016-2017 Grant Recipients
Since 2004, over $8.8 million has been allocated to organizations promoting heritage programming and tourism in the City of Plano. For the 2016-2017 year, a total of $835,841.05 was requested and $798,847 was awarded to the following recipients:

2017-2018 Grant Application
Applications for the 2017-2018 fiscal year are now available. The deadline for applications is May 5, 2017.
Applications are required to be submitted online via www.zoomgrants.com or by using the "Apply via ZoomGrants" direct link below. Hard copies of the grant application will not be accepted.
Grant Application Workshop
A mandatory grant workshop for potential applicants will take place on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 3 p.m. in Conference Room 2E (2nd Floor) of the Plano Municipal Center, located at 1520 K Avenue. A copy of the Grant Application Workshop can be downloaded below.
