We are excited to announce the 2016-2017 Platinum Arts Season Lineup, comprised of an assortment of local arts groups who call the Courtyard Theater and Cox Playhouse home. Check out the amazing line up that they have put together for you.

This calendar highlights just a small sampling of all of our exciting events. Be sure to check our Full Event Calendar for all upcoming events, updated monthly.

Links to purchase tickets will be posted on each event as they become available.  Ticketing for the majority of these events is managed by the separate presenting production groups and are not managed by Plano Stages.  Tickets from Brick Road Theatre, SHINE, Edge Dance & Performing Arts, and the Men of Note Chorus are available for purchase from Plano Stages.

The balletfoundation for the XXI century presents:

Princess Fete de la Danse 

Mountain View

The Princesses of the Courtyard Kingdom come together to delight young and old in this spectacular “Princess Fete de la Danse”. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, Ariel, Rapunzel, Belle, and Pocahontas among others will be featured. Buy your tickets early for these premier performances before tickets sell out. Each performance includes a V.I.P. Autograph Party for the “little princesses” in the audience and cast following the closing curtain. Dress like a princess if you wish!

Set in New York City in 1922, Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of young Millie Dillmount from Kansas, who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself. Her grand plan is to find a job as a secretary for a wealthy man and then marry him. However, her plan goes completely awry. The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East, her wealthy boss is slow in proposing marriage and the man she actually falls in love with doesn't have a dime to his name... or so he tells her.

Shy and staid statistician Leonard is anxious to break into print and sends book after book to Love Is All Around, a publisher dedicated to writing ‘for women by women’. His efforts are rejected until he submits a novel, based on his experiences as a single parent, under the pseudonym Myrtle Banbury. When his novel is accepted, Leonard has no choice but to assume Myrtle’s identity!
