If you are making your request for a court date outside your appearance date (15 calendar days from the date of offense), you must appear in person and you will be required to post a cash bond in the amount of the fine plus state costs for the violation for which you have been charged. If you have an attorney represent you, and your attorney makes an appearance outside your appearance date, your attorney will be required to post a surety bond before being set on an Attorney Pre-Trial Docket.
If no bond has been previously posted, and if either you or your attorney fails to appear for a Pre-Trial Hearing, a Cash Bond will be required to be placed on a court docket again. Consequences if you or your attorney fails to appear on the court date and time:
If an attorney bond was posted, the attorney will not be permitted to post any additional bonds until this case is satisfied. A cash bond will be required before the case will be docketed again.
If a cash bond was posted, the bond will be either forfeited to cover the fine and costs, or; the bond will be forfeited, and a capias warrant for your arrest will be issued.
