A project to install retaining walls along Russell Creek Drive between Independence and Sutherland Lane is set to begin on July 31. As part of the project, a temporary trail will be installed along the road as well as a pedestrian bridge across the creek to the trail on the north. The trail will have to be closed until the temporary trail can be installed and opened.
Additionally, many trees will have to be removed for this project. Once this first phase is complete, some new trees will be planted. The project should take about eight months to complete.
