Summer is almost here, and Plano Parks and Recreation is looking for energetic men and women who enjoy teaching and making a difference in their community.

Do you or PAC Swim Lessonssomeone you know have what it takes to be a camp counselor, lifeguard or water safety instructor? If so, we have the perfect opportunity right here in Plano!

Camp counselors and coordinators are entrusted with the responsibility of enriching the lives of children in a fun and structured environment. Whether it’s taking a trip to Jack Carter Pool or demonstrating sports basics to a group of children, these seasonal employees are extremely instrumental in making Plano Parks and Recreation’s summer camps so successful each year. These individuals work in various settings, from swimming, games, arts and crafts as well as other activities creating memories that last a lifetime.

Available positions include:

  • Camp counselors at Tom Muehlenbeck Recreation Center
  • Outdoor camp coordinators and counselors
  • Sports camp coordinators
  • Teen adventure coordinators
  • Water aerobics instructors
  • Lifeguards, water safety instructors, swim teaching assistants
