Owner Requested Euthanasia

Plano residents can bring their pets to the shelter for euthanasia anytime during our regular hours. The owner will sign an owner request for euthanasia form. We ask for a $25.00 donation to perform this service. We request that residents bring their animal into the shelter but exceptions can be made for elderly and/or handicapped residents or special circumstances. We do not provide this service on Saturdays or Sundays unless special circumstances require it.

All euthanasia is performed by lethal injection and the remains are then cremated. No "private” cremations are offered.  There are companies that will provide private cremation services and will pick up the remains from our shelter after euthanasia.
