Fine Payment Extension

Bookmark and Share

If you need an extension to pay, you must enter a plea and request an extension to pay either in person or in writing. Upon entering a plea of "guilty" or "no contest", the Judge will enter a Judgment of guilty and assess the State Costs and Fine accordingly.  The Judge will grant you a 15-Day Extension to Pay.  If you are unable to pay the State Costs and Fine within 15 days, you MUST appear in person and fulfill the following:

1. Complete an Application for Payment;
2. Schedule a meeting with the Collections and Compliance Unit,
3. Submit proof of residency (i.e. a utility bill or mortgage/rent statement);
4. Pay a minimum of $100.00 per case with the Application that will be applied toward the State Costs and Fine assessed.

Please Note:
If the fine is not paid within 30 days of the Judgment date, a State mandated $25.00 Time Payment Fee will be assessed as well.

Failure to pay the State Costs and Fine will result in a Capias Profine Warrant issued for your arrest with the additional costs attached thereto (i.e. $50.00 Warrant Fee)

NOTE:
Effective August 1, 2009, all credit card payments made either in person  or through the Online Citation Payment System, will incur a 3.5% processing fee.
