Plano Unveils New Tax Calculation Tool for Citizens
The City has developed an interactive form to illustrate what homeowners pay to various taxing entities in the area. Citizens can see their estimated tax bill by logging on to www.plano.gov/budget and clicking the "My Tax Dollar" tab. Once there, you may enter the estimated home value, indicate whether you currently receive or are eligible for the Homestead Exemption, select your county, and choose your school district. Clicking the “calculate” button will provide a breakdown of estimated taxes and a comparison with local cities. The tool also shows how the tax dollars collected by the City of Plano are distributed to pay for City services by major service area.
