Mango Languages: Online Language Learning (access from home or in the library). Mango's online language learning system focuses on teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. One More Story (available in library only) The Plano Public Library System is pleased to announce One More Story. One More Story is an online library of the best of children's classic and contemporary literature. It can only be accessed in the library. Through a simple point and click process, children can choose a book, see the illustrations and have the book read to them whenever they want. One More Story also offers the I Can Read It mode for beginning readers. Clicking on the "I" button (in the upper right hand corner) mutes the sound, allowing the child to read the book. If a word is unfamiliar, the child can click on it and hear that word spoken by the narrator. This is available for every word in each book in the One More Story library. In order to enjoy One More Story, children will need headphones. You may bring them from home or they may be purchased at any library.
netLibrary A collection of books available electronically through the Texas State Library's TexShare program. TSL has access to 28,000 titles, including the latest information technology titles, reference essentials, business and economics resources, best-selling fiction, and more. To access netLibrary, users will need to create a free account at any of the PPLS library locations. Once an account has been set up, netLibrary can be accessed from home, school, or office.
