DEFERRED DISPOSITION - COMPLIANCE

Dismissal for a case that has been placed on Deferred Disposition requires that all the terms and conditions stated in the Deferred Order have been met. If you were required to submit any documents at the end of the deferral period, you must do so by the due date. If you have successfully complied, your case will be dismissed.

DEFERRED DISPOSITION - FAILURE TO COMPLY

If you failed to comply with any one of the requirements of the Deferred Order, your case will be set for a Show Cause Hearing. A letter will be mailed to the last known address on court records. There are no resets for a Show Cause Hearing except for an emergency that can be verified by a Court Supervisor. If you fail to appear at the Hearing, Judgment will be entered. You will have ten (10) days from the Hearing date to file an appropriate appeal bond. If an appeal bond is not filed with the Court within the required time period, the Judgment will be final and result in a conviction.

You may waive your Hearing by signing the waiver on your Show Cause Letter or by writing to the Court to waive your Show Cause Hearing. Judgment will be entered and result in a conviction.

Please note that appropriate attire is required in the Court Room. No shorts of any kind are permitted.
