The Plano Police Department is pleased to announce it's participation in a new program that allows citizens to access a motor vehicle crash report via the Internet.
In order to provide a higher level of customer service by expediting the process of obtaining a motor vehicle crash report, the Plano Police Department is providing this on-line service through PoliceReports.US, LLC. This enables citizens and insurance companies to obtain copies of motor vehicle crash reports investigated by the Plano Police Department through the convenience of a user-friendly Internet site.
Effective October 2, 2007, motor vehicle crash reports generated on or after October 1, 2007 will be available on-line and, in most cases, reports can be accessed within five days of the incident. On-line crash reports are available for purchase 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To view or purchase your report you must have a minimum of two of the following required pieces of information:
The report number provided by the officer at the scene
The report date
The last name of at least one of the drivers
The fee for motor vehicle crash reports provided on-line or in-person from the Plano Police Department is $6.00.
The Plano Police Department is located at 909 14th Street and the Records Unit lobby hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The City of Plano's Joint-Use Facility is located at 7501-A Independence Parkway and Records Unit lobby hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

NOTE: If you have been charged a fee but were not able to prinout your report after clicking on the link to view the report - this is usually caused by a setting on your computer. If you purchased the report with a credit card and entered your email address, our system automatically emails you a copy of the report to the email address you provided.
In either case, please call 800-489-0190. We will help you get your report or make a refund.
