Mission Statement

To provide the vital connection between citizen requesting for police, fire, or medical assistance and the appropriate agency and to meet the immediate information needs of police, fire, and medical personnel in the field.

Simply put:

"WE HELP PEOPLE"

All day, everyday, dispatchers and call takers are at their positions, processing over 548,099 phone calls a year. This group of dedicated individuals is backed up by a crew of support staff members who work quietly in the background, supporting the core mission of the department which is “We Help People”.

 Overall, the PSC department is one that has significant interaction with Plano citizens yet is one of the least visible departments within the City of Plano. It is this quiet type of dedicated professionalism that allows our department to both support Police and Fire operations as well as individually assist citizens when they need us the most.
