Volunteer Resource Group

Volunteers have been filling the gap between City resources and
community needs through a myriad of services since 1983.

The City of Plano has recently enhanced its service to volunteers by adopting a new on-line management software program called Volunteer2. This volunteer referral system is located at MyVolunteerPage.com, an independent site that helps connect volunteers with organizations that utilize volunteers.

Volunteers can explore the various opportunities and, if interested, can send their contact information directly to the City from this website. You will then be contacted for an interview where we can match you with an opportunity that fits your schedule and interest. Opportunities are available in a variety of areas including:

Administration and Database Assistance,   Animal Shelter,   Environmental Services,   Libraries,   Emergency Preparedness,   Parks and Recreation  and  Fire and Police.
