Accredited by the National Institute of Senior Centers The Senior Recreation Center includes:
- A fitness room equipped with treadmills, stationary bicycles, and a multi-station maximus machine
- A billiards room with two standard size pool tables
- A snack bar, run by volunteers, which operates 11am-12:30pm daily
- Bingo, bridge, and various drop in activities are provided daily
- Ballroom dances with live music are held every Tuesday from 7-9:15pm
Classes, Trips and Events
A wide variety of classes, trips, and special events are offered at the Senior Recreation Center year-round. The Leisure catalog lists programs offered four times per year or you may search the Leisure OnLine database within this web site by clicking here .
Pre-registration is required in order to provide a light lunch. Transportation may be arranged through the Plano Senior Recreation Center no less than one week in advance for those who qualify.

OFF-SITE-ACTIVITIES:
BOWLING
The “Swinging Seniors” league bowls every Tuesday at 1pm at the Plano Super Bowl on Ave. K. Call the bowling alley at 972-424-5561 for details.
GOLF
Plano Senior Men’s Golf Association plays Monday and Thursday at Pecan Hollow Golf Course. For information on fees call Pecan Hollow at 972-941-7600.
OTHER SERVICES AT THE CENTER
Geriatric Wellness Center of Collin County is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Health examinations, durable medical equipment, screenings, support groups, and assistance counseling are available. For more information about the Wellness Center call 972-941-7335.
The Collin County Committee on Aging offers lunch at 11:45am Monday through Friday. Suggested donation for lunch is $3 for those 60 and over, $4.50 for those under age 60. Please call 24 hours in advance for reservations.
Transportation to the Senior Recreation Center for programs and courses is available. Please call for information 972-941-7155. The Senior Recreation Center does not provide transportation from assisted living, nursing facilities, and retirement housing where activities and transportation are provided.
