Temporary Food Events

Each year thousands of people attend festivals, firework displays, carnivals, and runs. Have you ever wondered, “What does it take to put an event like this together?” This website will provide you with the tools needed to make your event safe and fun in the City of Plano!

Special events occurring within the City of Plano, on City Property, on Collin County Community College property, and/or
Plano Independent School District property may require a permit from various City departments.

Large events will require a vendor meeting, with the Environmental Health Department reviewing information, including but not limited to the following:

Food Source
Menu Selection
Equipment
Sanitation
Booth Set-Up
Trash Disposal
Liquid Waste Disposal
