Fall weather is perfect for enjoying Plano Parks and Recreation Trails. For everyone’s safety, it’s important to practice trail etiquette.
Everyone
- Be courteous to other trail users.
- Stay to the right, except when passing someone.
- Look both ways before crossing a trail.
- Be alert to other trail users.
- Listen for the sounds of faster-paced trail users.
- Allow runners and bicyclists to pass safely.
Bicyclists
- Yield to pedestrians and other slow users.
- Stick to the 15 mph speed limit.
- Provide a verbal or audible warning when passing another trail user.
- Slow down and form a single line when approaching areas of congestion, reduced visibility and other hazardous situations.
Pet Owners
- Keep dogs on a leash no more than 6 feet long.
- Pick up after your pet to keep our parks clean and to prevent health issues.
The Plano Parks System includes 65 trail miles, so get outside and enjoy the outdoors.
