2009 Election – Places 2, 4, 6 (Mayor) and 8

Election Day – May 9, 2009

Packets to file for a place on the ballot will be available in late-December.  Please call the City Secretary’s office at 972-941-7120 to schedule an appointment. 

First Day to file an application for a place on the ballot – February 7, 2009

(Offices are closed – first day rolls to February 9, 2009)

Last Day to file – March 9, 2009

A candidate may announce an intention to run for an office and become active at whatever time they choose; however, an appointment of a campaign treasurer must be filed before a candidate may lawfully accept campaign contributions or make campaign expenditures. 

All forms for Plano City Council candidates are available from the City Secretary’s office, 1520 K Avenue, Suite 300, Plano, TX  75074 (or at the following links).

Forms should be returned to the City Secretary for filing.
