    The Great Rescue Caper: 5th Annual Adopt-A-Thon is here and you are not going to want to miss one minute! You can be a Superhero to the many animals in need. Find your perfect match with one of the many Nonprofit Rescues and Shelters attending. Music, demonstrations and entertainment all day and night! Vendors (Local businesses, crafts, online shops, dog specific businesses, and more) Sponsors are signing on and we are still looking for more! Contests: Special Olympics, tricks, dog superhero costume contests, too! The Dog Special Olympics & Costume Contest Are you ready for fun and games? 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded for each competition. 1st place will receive an additional prize.     Join us for this free Mindfulness Meditation class at the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park on Saturday, April 15. We will begin with an introduction to meditation, guided meditation, loving kindness meditation and discussion and questions. Meditation can increase awareness, reduce anxiety and pain, reduce symptoms of depression and improve concentration and attention. Please bring a blanket or cushion to sit on. In the event of rain, class will be canceled.

  3. Aquatic Easter Egg Hunt

    April 15, 2017, 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM @ Plano Aquatic Center

    Hop on over to the swimming pool for a one-of-a-kind hunt. The Easter Bunny and PAR-D Duck will be laying eggs in the water for your child to collect. Participants should be comfortable unassisted in the water. Please bring a container to carry eggs home. Ages 3-4 #189316, Ages 5-6 #189314, Ages 7-8 #189317, Ages 9-10 #189315. Ages 3-6 will hunt in the shallow areas of the pool, while ages 7-10 will hunt in the deep sections. Following the hunt, participants may stay and swim during the public hours of 1pm and 6pm (non-participants and parents will need to pay the daily admission fee for public swim). Pre-registration is required for the event.

    Come visit the Arts District in Historic Downtown Plano for the free Live and Local Concerts at McCall Plaza.
