    Registration for fall classes begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 5 for Plano residents and at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 7 for everyone else. Classes begin the week of September 4. Swim, hike, dance, do tai chi and yoga, brush up on computer skills, paint, sew, kayak or learn to paint...these opportunities and more can be found in the Fall 2017 Leisure Catalog.

    "Stories & Legends" presents various contemporary art primarily depicting animals and machinery as representatives of an underlying message in each piece. Each painting is meticulously designed and executed to created an immersive, thought-provoking experience for both art novices and experts alike. Joseph LaBarre is a self-taught artist who began drawing recognizable figures at the age of 3. He regularly participates in small group shows in the Rockwall and Forney areas. "Stories & Legends" is his first solo exhibition.

    The Downtown Plano Art & Wine Walk presented by Plano Magazine is the perfect way to unwind in Plano’s favorite historic neighborhood. On the second Thursday of every month, get an early start to your weekend by sipping selected wines at your favorite shops in the Downtown Plano Arts District while enjoying live music, curated art exhibits and shopping discounts just for Wine Walkers. Participants who visit six or more stops can win gift certificates and prizes at the end of the evening. Every participant receives a collectible glass, passport and wine tasting guide. August's theme is "Vacay".

  3. SHINE presents: "Into the Woods, Jr"

    Be careful what you wish for as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters – Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse and wind up changed forever.
