  1. First Annual Dead Kat Rumble Classic Car Show

    September 30, 2017, 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM @ McCall Plaza

    This first annual seasonal event, in partnership with Historic Downtown Plano Association, will feature a display of pre-1964 customs and hot rods. Music by Nick Flint, Rockaway Boys and Texas T & the Shine Runners will precede headliner Three Bad Jacks, world renowned rockabilly trio from Bakersfield, CA touring for over 25 years with hits like Run Johnny Run and Gone Gone Goodbye. Adults can compete for Miss Rumble pinup title, and there will be a "junior version" for kids, a Little Miss and Mister Rumble contest. Shop vendors, observe a metal working workshop, and bid in a charity auction to benefit autism research.

  2. Theatre Britain presents: "Winston's Birthday"

    September 30, 2017, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM @ Cox Playhouse

    It is 1962 - the Beatles have their first hit, James Bond his first film - and Randolph Churchill is holding a luncheon party to celebrate the 88th birthday of his admired but estranged father. Sir Winston is a fading force and there is unfinished business in his loving, dysfunctional family. Meanwhile, the socially inept Dr Jenkins, a newly appointed research assistant to Randolph, is pursuing his own agenda and forms a surprising bond with the wily Winston. Secrets are revealed, resentments released and new understandings formed, in this fresh and funny perspective on an iconic and larger-than-life family.

    Plano Stages is excited to bring another season of FREE movies to the beautiful Amphitheater at Oak Point Park! Our September movie will be "Wonder Woman". Gates open at 7:30pm. Movie begins at dark. Feel free to bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers, etc. Service animals only. No pets. Children must have adult supervision present. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers... and her true destiny.
