Jim Parrish is Deputy City Manager - Administrative Services for the City of Plano, Texas. He is responsible for coordinating the city’s internal service related functions, including Information Services, Finance, Budget, Human Resources, Marketing and Community Engagement and Media Relations.
Mr. Parrish is active in several professional associations. Mr. Parrish is Vice President of the National Public Employer Labor Relations Association. He is a past president of the Texas Municipal Human Resources Association and a former board member of the Texas Municipal League. Mr. Parrish is a charter member of the Public Employees Benefit Alliance and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management SHRM.
Mr. Parrish earned B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from West Texas A & M University. He joined the City of Plano in 2011 as Human Resources Director and was appointed Deputy City Manager in 2014.
