  • Access to digital resources (PDF) (e-books, e-newspapers, e-magazines, e-audio and databases)
  • Classes and programs for all ages (Calendar)
  • New library cards apply online, 2-3 days processing time - you will be contacted
General Services

  • Porch pickup of holds (instructions and times (PDF)) - all items 3 week checkout
  • Book Bundles – request in English, Spanish and Chinese for children and teens
  • External book drops for returns, 72 hour item quarantine, some account delay, no impact to borrowing privileges
  • Book a Librarian and telephone reference (email)
  • Donation drop off – loading dock during daylight hours

Bookpacks bring pre-loaded audio devices and print books perfect for following along for children of all ages. Bookpacks include classics like The Secret Garden and The Jungle Book, and favorites like Frog and Toad, Curious George, and many more.

Virtual Summer Learning - Plano Public Library

Virtual Summer Learning

Virtual Summer Learning is for everyone. Every minute read (even read to you) counts toward our 1,000,000 minute reading goal this summer! Be sure to keep track of what you're reading using our reading log (or one of your own), and let us know every time you read 100 minutes. We'll email a a certificate to you.

Reading Levels
• Board Book Sets – 5 items: ages 0-36 months
• Picture Books Sets – 8-10 items: toddlers and preschoolers
• Early Readers Sets – 8-10 items: pre-emergent, emergent, early fluent and fluent readers
• Chapter Books Sets – 5 items: early chapter book readers and older elementary readers
• Teen Fiction Sets – 4 items: middle school or high school reading levels

Storytime - Babes in Arms
Babes in Arms

 

Ages 0-9 months
A lapsit storytime to introduce the sounds and rhythms of language, develop motor skills and give babies a head start on learning. Storytime is followed by a brief playtime with toys, bubbles and socialization for caregivers and babies. Babes in Arms is for pre-walkers who are not yet highly mobile; siblings are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal or doll
