In Memory of Russ Kissick

russ k

We are saddened by the passing of Russ Kissick. Russ was one of three Co-Founders and ongoing Co-Director of The Plano Conservancy for Historic Preservation, Inc., the non-profit organization that has served as manager of the Interurban Railway Museum since its re-opening September, 2001. This special arrangement with the City of Plano was made possible by the Mayor and City Council. The Conservancy worked on many worthy projects in the field of Historic Preservation, focused on Plano’s early history and development.

Anyone who was fortunate enough to meet Russ knew him as a kind man with a heart open to every child who visited the museum. He made a point to go the extra mile to make each child feel special.

Russ is survived by Pamela, his wife of 52 years, and his son, Craig.

Russ will be remembered always for his kindness, his generosity, and his love of the young visitors to the museum. He was a man of integrity and a wonderful role model to all.
