Restroom and Drinking Fountain Closures

freeze proof drinking fountains and restrooms

Due to the early onset of cold temperatures we will begin closing some of our restrooms and drinking fountains a few weeks early this year.

Many of our restrooms and drinking fountains are freeze-resistant, and will remain open. However, those that are not will be closed this week. The attached map shows the locations of freeze-resistant fountains and restrooms that remain open year round. Please note Windhaven Meadows is not included on the map, but the restroom will remain open as well as one drinking fountain with a dog bowl. All of the dog watering stations within the Windhaven Meadows dog park will be turned off.

If a park has a reservable pavilion and we need to close the restroom at that site, portables will be provided. Bob Woodruff, Hoblitzelle, Shawnee, Old Shepard and Willow Creek are park sites that will have portables.
