If a flute could talk and sing, it would certainly be in the voice of Nestor Torres, for he speaks through his instrument. This Latin Grammy award winner will be performing with the Plano Community Band on Sunday, November 17, at 2:30 p.m. in the Eisemann Center in Richardson. You won’t want to miss this exciting mix of jazz, contemporary and classic sounds. Admission is free, but you will want to make your reservation at http://planoband.com/reservations/. Doors open at 2:00 for those with reservations.
November 8, 2019, 8:00 AM - November 17, 2019, 4:00 PM @ Amphitheater at Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve
Head to Oak Point Park November 9-16 to experience the Plano Flags of Honor.
You'll discover a field of more than 1,000 3' x 5' American Flags, expressing our region's gratitude to our veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. You will hear the haunting sound of TAPS at dusk each day and experience the reverence of walking the field at night when the flags seem to reach out and tell their own stories.
